Leiden DR CF-CS110

High Cooling Power
The combination of a powerful pumping system with a highly developed dilution refrigerator allowed Leiden Cryogenics to put on the market the most powerful model, the CF110-1500M with 1.5 mW at 100 mK.

Easy to Handle
The Dewar-supporting table is lifted by four spindles and two motors, allowing one person to place or remove the cans in under 30 minutes without requiring manual force.

Advanced GHS
Leiden’s CS110-Maglev systems feature an advanced dry pumping system with two magnetically levitated turbopumps, each with a 2,300 L/s capacity. These pumps are virtually vibration-free and maintenance-free. They are supported by an exceptionally quiet Roots-claw pump with a 1,000 m³/h capacity, which is inaudible during operation. The gas-handling circuit is fully enclosed in a hollow frame, storing the mixture in two sections: the upper part holds ³He, and the lower part contains a mixture predominantly of ⁴He.

CF-CS110 Key Features

One or two Pulse Tube Coolers

One common vacuum or IVC

Mixing chamber diameter 490 mm

Volume sample space up to 160 L

Ultra-low vibration levels

Top-loading probes with diameters of either 109 mm or 50 mm enable rapid sample exchange from 300 K to the base temperature (120 mK) within 8 hours. The 50 mm probe can be mounted either in the center of the plate or sideways in one of two available 50 mm ports. The 109 mm probe is installed in the central port. The 109 mm probe offers the highest cooling power among similar devices, providing up to 500 µW at 120 mK.

Possibility of active dampers

120 mm sample space

Excellent thermal anchoring

Optimum shielding

Rapid Turnaround Times

The system’s extremely low vibration amplitude suits applications like Attocube’s AFM-STM optical systems, which can be easily mounted at the bottom of the 109 mm top-loading probe. The probe’s clamping mechanism ensures a solid assembly with the refrigerator, maintaining consistent vibration levels at both the probe’s bottom and the mixing chamber.

Cold Probe Add-Ons

Leiden Cryogenics specializes in top-loading probes integrated with their high-end dilution refrigerators, designed for advanced cryogenic research. These probes are critical for experiments requiring precise sample manipulation at milliKelvin (mK) temperatures, such as quantum computing, superconductivity, and scanning probe microscopy.
