Harrison Campbell-Beig

Summer Mechanical Engineering Intern at Danaher Cryogenics

Harrison is a rising senior at Montana State University, where he is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, he is an avid outdoorsman with a lifelong passion for building and creating. From an early age, Harrison was drawn to understanding how things work, often breaking hobbies down to their most basic components. Rather than purchasing gear, he preferred crafting items like fishing rods and lures himself, always believing he could improve upon existing designs. This innate curiosity and drive to innovate made mechanical engineering a natural career path.

Harrison aspires to apply his degree in a way that allows him to continue creating and solving problems through thoughtful design. His internship at Danaher Cryogenics has offered valuable insight into the inner workings of a small company that manufactures high-precision instruments. The experience has provided him with exposure to every stage of the product lifecycle—from design and development to marketing and sales—and has fostered an environment where he can learn directly from experts across the organization. Ultimately, Harrison hopes to start his own engineering company, and the hands-on experience at Danaher Cryo has given him a strong foundation for that future goal.
