Bryan Schiffner
Senior Mechanical Engineer at Danaher Cryogenics
Bryan worked with Charlie at High Precision Devices (HPD) designing cryogenic systems and components for five years. He was the lead design engineer for the Model 106 Shasta cryostat and also worked on cryostat control system development, ADR improvements, thermal isolation systems, liquid cryogen precoolers, and a single-shot He3 cooler.
Bryan has a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University. In addition to cryogenics, he has over a decade of instrument design experience including automated tissue samplers, spectrometers, thermal camera automated calibration ovens, total organic carbon analyzers, and optical particle counters.
